TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS
ENTRY FEE (NO REFUNDS)
$100.00 per boat must accompany boat application. Applications will be accepted at the launch site on the morning of the tournament. Cash, Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard), Checks must be received one week prior to tournament dates. Additional $10.00 entry fee may accompany application or you may register at sign-in.
PARTICIPATION
Open to anyone 21 years of age or older, if under 21, must have consenting adult fishing with them. Tournament director reserves the right to reject any participant for any reason within his sole discretion.
START
First flight will launch at safe light. Weigh in at 3:00 p.m. Departure will be by line order entries are received.
SAFETY
All boats must have USCG equipment as required by law. USCG approved life jackets must be worm any time boat is on a plane. All boats must be equipped with tail switches. No alcoholic beverages allowed. All boats will be checked before launching.
BOATS
Boats must be 15 feet or longer to be allowed. A live well is required. Canoes, airboats, or pontoon boats are not allowed in this tournament series.
TACKLE & EQUIPMENT
Artificial lures only. No live baits or “prepared baits” will be permitted other than pork strips, rind, etc. Only one casting, spin casting, spinning or flipping rod and reel per person may be used at any one time. No rod longer than 8 feet including the handle is permitted. Other rigs as specified above may be in the boat ready to use. All bass must be caught alive by rod & reel. Trolling as a method of fishing will not be permitted. No fishing within 50 yards of another contestant provided he is anchored with trolling motor up. No lines will be crossed.
SCORING
Determined by pounds and ounces. Large mouth bass only. Five (5) fish per boat. No fish under 14 inches. The state regulation of only one fish over 22 inches has not waived for this tournament. Undersized fish will be eliminated and a 3-pound penalty. One-pound penalty for each minute late up to 10 minutes, at which time the team will be disqualified. A half-pound (8 oz) penalty for each dead fish weighed in. This is a catch and release tournament. All fish must be released alive by tournament officials.
PROTEST
There are two lines during the contest to register a protest. The first is before the first boat is launched, for any infraction that may have occurred prior to the beginning of the contest. The second time for registering a protest is immediately after the weigh in of the last boats catch and before the awards presentation begins. Once the awards presentation begins, all results of the contest are considered fair and final.
